You will receive an email stating your account has been created, with a reset password link. Simply reset your password and log in with your email and new updated password.

Yes, you can still access the website via your computer or mobile device.

Simply go to the home page, click on Sign in, then “Forgot your password?” Follow the email prompt once you receive it. 

Any completed courses will carry over with a certificate of completion attached with the completion date.

Any completed FED Learning Center certificates will transfer over and can be seen under the "My Transcript" widget on your Learner Home Page.

1. eLearning courses are good for one year from the date of purchase. If a course has passed that one-year mark, it will need to be repurchased. 
2. For courses still within the expiration window, every effort has been made to bring the course into your profile. If a course is missing, email Support@FEDLearningCenter.com with the course name and it will be resolved. 

Your seat in any scheduled Virtual-Live or In-Person course carries over automatically.

Pre-purchased seats remain available in your account on the new platform.

Yes, coupon codes are still valid, and can be applied at checkout.

Learning Groups don't carry over from the previous LMS. Power Users will now see user course progress under the Insights widget on the Group Leader Home Page.

Yes. That data now lives under the Insights widget on the Group Leader Home Page.

As a Power User, you can add users to your account. You can also email Support@FEDLearningCenter.comand the team will add them for you.

As a Power User, go to the class you're interested in purchasing and click "Add Seats."

This usually happens when you bought courses in bulk using your own email address to enroll someone else. To fix it, email Support@FEDLearningCenter.com with the correct first name, last name, and email address for that user. The course will then be associated with them individually, and with you as their Power User.

Feel free to update your profile with whatever email address you'd like associated with your account.

The team can update those old records and import them into whichever email account you want to use going forward.

The FED Learning Center’s vision is to provide an industry-specific, educational experience to not only satisfy various student job requirements but to expand their knowledge, technical expertise, and natural curiosity to help the industry, as a whole, evolving for a better, safer tomorrow.

Anyone with a role in the Fire and Life Safety industry canbenefitfrom the industry-specific knowledge provided by the FED Learning Center including Technicians, Sales and Service Professionals, Managers, AHJs/Inspectors, and Facility Management and Safety Professionals.

In late 2017, Fire and Life Safety industry leaders came together to address challenges in employee hiring, retention, and training. They focused on the need for improved technical training for the workers responsible for maintenance, inspection, and repairs in the fire suppression and safety field. The end result was the FED Learning Center (FEDLC)—an educational platform supporting the training and developmental needs of the fire and life safety industry.

To optimize the educational value of the program, several industry experts participated in developing the content, the facilities, and the platform, including many Engineers, Product Specialists, Code Professionals, Curriculum Designers, and e-Learning experts. The courses are considered to be the “gold standard” in the industry. And, since no two people learn exactly the same, the FED Learning Center takes great care to ensure the instructional design offers something for everyone, in all levels of experience, through a variety of educational styles and methods. Afterdevelopmentall courses aresubmittedto the ICC (International Code Council) as well as other certifying authorities for approval.

The FED Learning Center program is designed for individual registered users; however, we believe the more people properly trained the safer we all are! Individual Members can “Associate” their profile with their employer, also known as “Member Sponsorship”.Member Sponsorship gives your employer visibility of your learning progress and certificates. The FED Learning Center’s program combines individual Membership with Member Sponsorship to give both the learner and their employer all of the tools and information they need to manage comprehensive training needs.

All three learning mediums have the same content base. The eLearning (On-Demand) and Virtual ILT instruction can both be taken from the comfort of your home or office; On-Demand is done on your own schedule and at your own pace while Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) is done along with a live instructor. The instructor-Led Training (ILT) are conducted in-person at one of the FED Learning Center skills labs and incorporate practical application with multiple manufacturer’s product.

Yes. Student Members must provide proof of ID by showing a valid state-issued ID at all in-person events. When using the FED Learning Center portal, you are to use true and current information about yourself. The individual Member portal at www.FEDLearningCenter.com is specific to individual use and all access and engagement is exclusive to your use.

Yes. All FED Learning Center in-person courses have a 3rd party proctor; meaning that both an instructor and another individual will be present.

To ensure proper transfer of knowledge, most of the quizzes require an 80% or greater to achieve the Certificate and related CEUs. In the event that 80% is not achieved, the student is allowed to retake the quiz.

Because most quizzes are administered electronically within each student’s portal, quiz results are available immediately upon submission.

You can purchase a single course for yourself or for someone else. Power Users can purchase courses in bulk and assign them to students. For more information on how to purchase courses for others, view: How to Purchase & Enroll a Student/Technician.

All major credit cards can be used on this website. If another form of payment is preferred, please email Support@FEDLearningCenter.com to inquire about alternate options.

If you need to cancel, please email Support@FEDLearningCenter.comas early as possible. For VILT or ILT classes, if the cancellation is received 6 days or less from the first day of the course, the tuition is non-refundable. The FED Learning Center may, in its sole discretion, permit rescheduling from time to time.

The FED Learning Center’s trainings are approved in several local jurisdictions and by the International Code Council (ICC). The ICC is the leading global source of model codes and standards and building safety solutions that include product evaluation, accreditation, technology, training, and certification. The Code Council’s codes, standards, and solutions are used to ensure safe, affordable, and sustainable communities and buildings worldwide (iccsafe.org/about/who-we-are/). 

The FED Learning Center is a recognized training provider by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). NICET is a global leader, providing recognition of qualified technology professionals who can reliably apply requisite principles and practices for the benefit and safety of the public (nicet.org/training/training-partners/). 

Always check with your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to see if the FED Learning Center’s courses meet your state and/or local requirements. 

Many states use the ICC’s codes and standards for certification as the basis for their licensing requirements. NAFED’s certification test is also administered through the ICC. The ICC approves the FED Learning Center’s content and, through them, we are able to provide contact training hours and CEUs.

An official ICC test is not required to participate in the FED Learning Center’s courses; however, for a limited period of time, if you wish to take an ICC test for certification in your state, you can visit iccsafe.org for available testing, registration, and questions.

The FED Learning Center differentiates successful participation of In-Person HOTs with Certifications versus VLIs and ODMs as Certificates of Completion due to instructors’ visibility of I/C participants’ performance with equipment during In-Person HOTs. 

Certificates of Completion are good for one year from the purchase date. 

Certifications are good for three years from the purchase date. 

Yes! All certificates earned through the FED Learning Center are automatically stored for a limited time in each Member’s portal. The Member portal is specific to you and can be used to manageall ofyour certification documents. You even have the availability to load other certificates, for safekeeping, in the portal for a limited time so thatall ofyour professional achievements are stored in one convenient location.

Please refer to your local AHJ for licensing and certification requirements.

The FEDLC provides 2 different types of ‘Certifications’: 

1. Certificate of Completion – Achieved upon the successful completion of a non-technical class, such as a Professional Development Course or Seminar, an On-Demand (ODM), or Virtual Live (VLI) Course. This is good for one year from the purchase date of the course. 

2. Certification – Achieved upon completion of an In-Person, Hands-On Training (HOT) Course, with the skills being signed off on by the instructor and a successful passing score of the course exam. This is good for three years from the purchase date of the course. 

We offer individual training, training management solutions, and private grouptrainings. No other products or services are available at this time.
