Modern warehouses are rapidly evolving through increased storage eights, automation, and the widespread use of lithium-ion batteries, creating new and complex fire protection challenges. This course examines fire protection considerations associated with multiple row racks elevated walkways, and automated storage retrieval systems (ASRS), with a focus on the application and limitations of Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinklers and the impact of obstructions on sprinkler performance. Participants will also explore the unique challenges modern warehouses present to fire service operations, including accessibility, limitations, and capabilities. Attendees will gain practical insights into emerging warehouses hazards and treaties for designing, protecting, and responding go to incidents in these increasingly complex facilities.
