After a battery fire on campus, officials weigh in with battery safety tips

Ithica, NY—A small battery pack had ignited on a student’s desk at Cornell University. A dry chemical fire extinguisher was used to put out the fire, and it was no longer burning when the Ithaca Fire Department arrived. Campus officials recommend unplugging chargers when not in use, among other tips, to prevent similar fires in the future. Read the entire article here.
