The AHJ – Portable Fire Extinguisher Standards, Codes, and Requirements Training provide Code Enforcement participants an understanding of their role concerning the codes, standards, and requirements of Portable Fire Extinguishers. Content includes a review of NFPA standards, the types of special applications and requirements of Portable Fire Extinguishers, as well as gaining an understanding of the role a technician plays.
Content includes educating participants with the following topics: Code Reference Material, Selecting/Calculating Extinguishers, Location Requirements (Height/Weight), Travel Distance for Different Classes of Fire, Inspection & Maintenance Requirements, Obsolete Extinguishers, Overview of 6-year maintenance, recharging, and hyrdotesting, Occupancy Hazards.
