This instructor-led training covers the code requirements found in the 2019 edition of NFPA 51B, Standard for Fire Prevention During Welding, Cutting, and Other Hot Work, including, determining code requirements, types of hot work, fuel and ignition sources, identifying hazards, interpreting permits, and defining roles and responsibilities of the hot work safety team. NOTE: The assessment will not launch properly if your pop up blockers are disabled. Make sure pop up blockers are NOT disabled.

- Cite relevant resources applicable to hot work.
- Explain the importance of the 3-step approach to hot work safety.
- Define the responsibilities of each person on the hot work team.
- Determine when a fire watch is required.
- Determine when a hot work permit is required.
- Interpret a hot work permit.
- Examine compliance of hot work environments to safety requirements.
