The Understanding Codes and Standards, an informational class for Fire and Life Safety Industry beginners. This training provides an overview of codes and standards, with an explanation of federal regulators, SDOs and Model Codes, how to read code, how they are developed and revised, and how they are adopted into law.  Lastly, there is a brief overview of enforcing codes and standards and the customer’s responsibility. This introduction to codes and standards complements other training offered by FEDLC that goes into greater depth on certain topics and details of specific provisions of standards that are needed to perform work in the field.
